ALICE BRADY IN “THE HUNGRY HEART.” “Frou 'Frbu” was a sensational success of the Parisian stage, and its film version by the World' Film Corporation;* “The HiingrWHeart,” which was screened last night at His Majesty’s for the first time, is a splendid success)' 1 Thtf butstantling feature of the production is the acting of Alice Brady and Gerda Holmes as the two sisters, one a frivolous butterfly whom wifehood and motherhood cannot alter, and the other a righteous but tender-hearted slave to duty. The story is full of strongly emotional scenes, and Alice Brady is supremely good in the delineation of the agony of the wilful girl wife whose wrongdoing causes much irreparable'mischief to those ’'she loves. MiDHIRST PUBLIC HALL. A dance under the auspices of the Midhirst Hall Board will be held in the Midhirst Public Hall on Wednesday next| August 22nd. FIRE BRIGADE BALL. { The members of the Stratford Fire Brigade have desired for the past three or four years to buy a motor chassis for fire-fighting purposes, and just recently they have had one offered that Will answer all purposes. To secure the extra money required, they intend making the Fancy Dress Ball next Thursday a great financial success, all the members working hard selling tickets and making arrangements towards that end. Mrs Bianchi and orchestra, have offered their services gratuitously, and will supply the music.
