“Killed in Action on July 111,” was the official report of the , death of Sergeant Herb. Ibbotson, who as a private enlisted in the 7t.h Reinforcements, leaving the employ of Messrs McMillan and Fredric, Stratford, with which firm he had been fo nearly five years after leaving school. His relatives now reside in Wanganui. At the Stratford Magistrate’s Cour. this afternoon, Mr T. C. Fookes, on behalf .of the local Bar, on the occasion oH Mr Haselden’s transfer to th Wanganui district thanked him foi bis uniform kindness, consideration, and to everyone during his term in the Stratford circuit. Mr Haselden replied, thanking the Bar for their kind expressions ol goodwill.
