CAVILL'S UNTIMELY END.

The leading athletic clubs on the Pacific coast were represented at CavilPs funeral. Deceased's brothers were unable to attend, but the funeral arrangements were carried out by College students who were former pupils of Cavill. BILLIARDS. (Received 10.45 a.m.) London, March 4. Reece is 3751 and Cray 2530. Scoring was slow. (Received 1.15 p.m.) London, March 4. Reece has scored 4501 and Cray 2877. The latter was outplayed and failed to register a three-figure break. BOWLING. A friendly game was played on the local green this morning between the visiting Auckland howlers and Stratford teams. It was mutually agreed that the teams as picked bfl reversed, i.e., that the skips'lead and so on back to the leaders skipping. An enjoyable game resulted in a substantial win for the visitors by 92 points to 60.
