HIS MAJESTY'S PICTURES. There was never a good thing, but there is always something hotter, and to-night's new series of pictures at 'Bernard's •is-'pronou'need by the management to be ono of the best yet received direct from "Wellington. The star feature film, the "Triumph of Strength," is-a thrilling wild animal drama with a most gigantic plot by Ambrosio's famous players. "The Stopped Clock," is a splendid film Thoro is no doubt the old antique dealer was prejudiced against his junior clerk. After frequent shortages, the clerk's visit to the gambling house was reported by the detective and-he was discharged. In truth, he had gone to find the senior clerk who owed him money which he needed for iiis mother, hovering close to the edge of life. By sharp detective work, the designs of the senior clerk were frustrated. Hero luy rescues a little boy and becomes a hero. Ho goes homo to his wifo in a bedraggled condition, tells of tho rescue, and is set upon a pedestal. His wife, as a reward, takes him to tho movies at night, and sees the husband flirting and fighting in the fountain, whore some enterprising camera-man caught him. That explaining, as she thought, the bedraggled state in which he arrived homo, she turns and beats him all the way home. TOWN HALL PICTURES.

Owing to the hooking of the Town Hall for tho horticultural .show on Thursday and Friday evening, the programme now running will bo screened to-night for the last time, the management showing on Saturday night a complete change of star films. Lovers of tho "movies" should not fail to see the last unwinding of the "Globe of Death" this evening (5000 feet of sensational and interestingholding film from the first scene). The comics are features of the programme, and are topped by "A Human Torpedo."
