The inspector proceeded against the vfiramar Borough Council for employ'g an employee to erect picket fences, the man not being a member of he Carpenters’ Union, and not reviving the award rata of wages, lodgment was reserved. Edward Charman claimed £-7 11s 6d ompensation for accident and medical xponses from Charles Emery, his employer. Plaintiff was doing plasterig work, and in the course of his employment stooped down and struck a projecting beam, which caused an inury, leading to an abcess, which had pocessitated two operations. The de"once was that no notice of the accident had-been given. The Court held hat that was no answer, and gave udgment for £7 4s and costs. An tom for medical certificate was disallowed.
