(Received 25, 9 a.m.) New York, September 24. Fowler was unable to cross the Sierras, and ho returned and landed it Colfax. The engine was not strong enough to carry the machine across the summits. Probably 7 be will, abandon the attempt. Rodgers lias resumed tho ocean to ocean flight.
