DIVER SUFFOCATED.—Ame Zetterstrom, the 27-year-old Swedish Navy diver, the holder of the dep sea record of 364 feet, suffocated ascending from a dive in which he attempted to set a new record of 525 feet. Zetter? strom made the record last December, breathing a mixture of air and hydrogen, largely eliminating the narcotic effect of nitrogen. (London).
