RECORD OF CHORAL CLASSES
RECITAL AT THORNBURY
A recital will be presented at Thornbury, on August 10, by the Thornbury W.D.F.U. choral class, combined with Mr James Simpson’s pupils. This will be the one hundred and twentieth war effort recital by the Southland W.D.F.U. classes and Mr Simpson’s pupils to be presented in Southland and West Otago. The proceeds from the concert have been used to buy parcels for local soldiers who are overseas. Substantial donations have also been made to the Patriotic and Red Cross Funds. The recital at Thornbury will include several new presentations, such as solos, duets, trios, qufirtettes and instrumental items. The proceeds will be presented to the local Red Cross funds.
