SMALL UNITS ENTER VIENNA
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 28. Small British and American units have moved into Vienna in the first phase of the joint occupation of the city by British, American, Russian and French forces, says the correspondent of the Associated Press of America in Austria. The entrance of complete garrison forces was delayed by negotiations on a high level. Some details have been agreed on. The Americans say that the Russians are co-operating wholeheartedly. A final agreement, it is believed, awaits a meeting of the four Allied commanders. It is expected that the occupation plans will be similar to those for Berlin, each occupying power holding the chairmanship of the joint commission for a month. The Russians at present are handling all arrangements for the supply of food to the population.
