CLOTHING FOR UNRRA
Auckland’s Good Response (P.A.)' AUCKLAND, July 29. So great was the response to the drive for clothing for UNRRA, carried out in Auckland on Saturday, that experienced members of the Lady Galway Guild were reluctant to hazard a guess about the number of parcels in a huge heap which had been accumulated in a disused skating rink. They were sure there were several thousand parcels, and the organizing secretary .of the guild said the drive had far eclipsed, both in quality and quantity of the clothing, any previous effort. The great pile of clothing was over 20 feet in height and occupied a floor space of about 100 ft by 30ft.
