BURGESS.—At his residence, Hula Street, Walkiwi, on Saturday, July 28, 1945 (suddenly), William, beloved, husband of the late Annie Burgess; aged 69 years. The Funeral will leave his late residence today (Monday), July 30, at 1.45 p.m. for the Eastern Cemetery.—J. Fraser & Sons, Funeral Directors. CALDER.—At Greymouth, on July 23, 1945, Caroline Gertrude, beloved wife of the late Wm. Calder, and eldest daughter of the late John and Caroline Peterson, of Athol. At rest. Safe in the arms of Jesus.

CAMERON.—On July 28, 1945, at Dunedin, John, beloved husband of Annie Cameron, Wingatul, and loved father of lan (overseas) and Mesdames Goodall and Babbidge; in his 70th year. At rest. Private interment —Hope & Klnaston, Funeral Directors. KIDD.-On July 27, 1945, at Oamaru, William James, beloved husband of Eileen Livina Kidd (nee Hamilton), 44 Arun Street, Oamaru. McCUBBIN.—On July 28, 1945, at the residence of her brother-in-law, Mr W. B. Wards, 121 Prince Albert Road, St. Kilda, Christina Williamina, dearly beloved youngest daughter of the late James and Isabella McCubbin, of Mataura; aged 69 years. The Funeral will leave the residence of Mr J. B. Irwin, Terrace Road, Mataura, on Tuesday, July 31, 1945, at 2 p.m. for the Mataura Cemetery.—W. P. Thorn, Funeral Director.

MURRAY.—At Invercargill (suddenly), on Friday, July 27, 1945, William, beloved husband of the late Margaret Murray, of 103 Martin Street; aged 87 years.
