Calcutta Food Markets
(Rec. 11.50’ p.m.) LONDON,. May 7. Thej Governor pf Bengal, Mr R. G. Casey, after an Unannounced tour of Calcutta where the cholera epidemic continues, gave a forthright condemnation of some of the typical food markets, says the correspondent of Reuter’s at Calcutta. “There is too much filth and too many flies. The present state of affairs cannot continue. If they do we shall have one epidemic after another,” he said. .
