AIRMAN GAINS FRENCH DECORATION

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 6. Warrant Officer F. J. S. Keenan, of Auckland, who is serving with the Royal Air Force in India as a wireless operator-air gunner, has been awarded the French Croix de Guerre. Particulars of the award have not yet been received by the Air Department. Warrant Officer Keenan has been serving with an operational Liberator squadron. He is aged 23. He enlisted in the Royal New Zealand Air Force in April 1941 and completed his training in Canada. His mother is Mrs E. L. Keenan, of Auckland.
