DISPOSAL OF MEAT BY LOTTERIES
FINE OF £5O IMPOSED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 6. In the Magistrate’s Court Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., fined George Samuel Conaghan £5O for establishing a lottery. Evidence was given that the accused disposed of meat by lotteries held in a bar. Not time was allowed in which to pay, tiie fine. The default of immediate payment was fixed at six weeks’ imprisonment. "
