TRANSFERS GRANTED
Goods Service Licences Permission to transfer goods service licences was granted in the following cases by the No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr S. V. Raines, at a sitting in Invercargill yesterday:— L. T. Voice to A. C. E. Broad, Browns, Malcolm Brothers to J. T. Gillespie, Otautau, Chilton Brothers to J. T. Gordon, Winton, and Southland Carrying Company, Ltd. to J. A. Mcßae, Makarewa,
Union Airways of N.Z., Ltd. was granted a licence for a passenger service between the office of the Union Steam Ship Company, Invercargill, and the Invercargill aerodrome. E. C. O’Halloran, Ohai, was granted a licence for a taxi-cab.
On the application of Denton’s Motors, Bluff, the following taxi fares were fixed: — From Bluff to the reservoir, 2/- return; from Bluff to the top of the hill, 4/6 return. After review no change was made in the charges for rental cars made by the following firms:—E. B. Boberg, Kiwi Service Garage, Mutual Rental Cars, Ltd., Morris Rental Cars, Invercargill, and McKinnon Bros., Ltd., Riverton.
