NEW ZEALANDERS IN FIJI FORCES
List Of Awards Announced (P.A.) WELLINGTON, December 15. The King has approved of a number of awards to officers and men of the Fiji Defence Forces for “gallant and distinguished service in the south Pacific.” The awards include the Military Cross (5), Distinguished Conduct Medal (2), Military Medals (9) and mentioned in dispatches (11). There are also the following six awards to members of the New Zealand Forces serving with the Fiji forces:— MILITARY CROSS Major M. N. Corner, Auckland. MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES Captain A. P. Spittali, Christchurch. Lieutenant L. A. Henderson, Roxburgh. Lieutenant T. C Scott, Timaru. Lieutenant W. W. Sherratt, Puketapu. Warrant Officer D. Miller, Te Kuiti.
