LICENCES GRANTED The following ancillary users were granted goods service licences (one vehicle authority each) by the No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr S. V. Raines, at a sitting in Invercargill yesterday:

The following were granted amendments to their licences:—A. Cundall, Invercargill (extension of area to 20 miles radius), J. and J. Deegan, Heddon Bush (extension to include Wallacetown riding), J. A. Lindsay, Wrights Bush (addition of Pourakino and Wallacetown ridings), Macalisters Ltd., Invercargill (extension to include Southland County), Southland Butchers’ By-Products Co., Ltd.' (extension to operate 30 miles radius), Linton Coal Co., Ltd. (additional vehicle authority), L. C. Bye, Otautau (additional vehicle authority), J. Murphy, Winton (additional vehicle authority in lieu of one deleted when truck was impressed), J. R. Gibson and Sons, Brydone (reinstatement of seasonal licence), D. T. King and Co., Ltd. (extension of area to include Nos. 1,2 and 3 Southland areas for removal of houses and materials), S. L. Kokay, Tuatapere (extension to include Southland and Lake counties for maintenance work on State highway). Decision was reserved in the following cases:—Hammond Bros, and T. A. Hazlett, both of Winton (extension to cart to Invercargill), W. Kennedy and Sons, Wrights Bush (extension to Winton and Invercargill). Black Diamond Coal Depot, Waikiwi, R. K. Parsons, Invercargill (additional vehicle authority), J. Sinclair, Otahuti (reinstatement of licence). An application by J. R. Henderson, Winton, for an extension of his licence to enable him to cart to Invercargill and an application by J. W. Baldwin, Glencoe, for an extension of 26 miles from his farm were refused.
