700 m.p.h. FIGHTERS PREDICTED
(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 13. Fighter planes with top speeds of more than 700 miles an hour will be in service in the near future, said Rear-Admiral Dewitt Ramsey, Chief of the Naval Bureau of Aeronautics, reporting to the House of Representatives Naval Affairs Committee on naval aviation. He added that the highest present operational speed was 400 miles an hour.
