SUNDAY NIGHT EXPRESSES
RESUMPTION FROM JANUARY 14 The Sunday night expresses to and from Christchurch and the Sunday express train from Dunedin to Invercargill will begin running on January 14. The future of these services will depend on the coal stocks and the position will be reviewed from time to time. The Dunedin-Invercargill train will leave at 5.20 p.m., as formerly, and the Invercargill-Christchurch express will depart at 6.30 p.m. The ChristchurchDunedin express will leave at 11.2 p.m. connecting with the usual Monday morning express at Dunedin, which reaches Invercargill at 1.10 p.m. Trains at these times are provided for under the holiday timetable from December 24 to January 7.
