MINISTER ORDAINED AT DIPTON
Members of the Southland Presbytery were present at a service at Dipton on Monday evening when the Rev. William Wallace was ordained and inducted. The presbytery was represented by the moderator, the Rev. Hugh Graham, the clerk, the Very Rev. W. H. Howes, and the Revs. A. F. Sutherland, F. Hume, L. Brown, H. Haigh and R. McKenzie. The moderator conducted the solemn ordination service, and Mr Wallace was inducted by the presbytery. Mr Hume delivered the sermon, Mr Sutherland addressed the newly-inducted minister, and Mr McKenzie addressed the congregation. After the service a social was held to welcome Mr Wallace and his family to the district. A presentation was also made to the retiring interim moderator, Mr Brown.
