SEALING OF JOHN STREET
No Funds For Work This Season Another request by the Georgetown Bowling Club that John street be tarsealed this season has been refused by the City Council on the ground that there is no provision on the current estimates for the work. It was decided to inform the club that the work would be done as soon as funds were available. The council at its meeting last night received a petition from residents of Wellesley avenue dealing with the lighting and maintenance of the street. The Works Committee reported that it intended to meet residents on the site on its first tour of inspection in February.
