DEATH AFTER COLLAPSE IN STREET
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 4. Mr William J. Campbell, chairman of the Auckland Education Board and a former probation officer in Auckland, collapsed in the street and died about midday. He entered the Police Force in 1897 and later transferred to the Justice Department at Auckland. He was always keenly interested in education. DEATH FROM INJURIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, December "4. The death occurred in the Thames Hospital yesterday of William Hamilton Bush, a contractor of Coromandel, who was seriously injured a week ago when the car in which he was travelling in the Tokotea Ranges left the track and fell down a slope of 450 feet. Another passenger, Eric Vance, a bushman of Coromandel, escaped without serious injuries. INJURIES TO PELVIS Suffering from a broken pelvis, John Dunlop, of Edendale, was admitted to the Gore Hospital on Saturday night. It is stated that Mr Dunlop suffered the injury as a result of a stirrup breaking when he was chasing a bull while on horseback.
