Need For Increase Stressed The need for encouraging farmers to produce greater areas of crops for feeding to pigs next winter is emphasized by Mr P. W. Smallfield, director of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, in a circular to primary production councils. Mr Smallfield says it is expected that the present serious drought in Australia will result in no grain or meals being, available for importation into New Zealand.
