HEALTH STAMP SALES LAST MONTH

Health stamp sales in Southland during October totalled £BO9 made up as follows:— Chief Post Office, Invercargill, £588; Gore, £54; other offices, £167. In addition cash donations amounting to £156/6/6 were received. In October last year the sales of health stamps in Southland realized £676 and in November £305. Special efforts are to be made to improve the November total this year. There was a good response to the suggestion that health stamps should be used on “first day” covers for the Invercargill-Dunedin air mail service which was inaugurated yesterday.
