The New Zealanders appeared to be the slightly better team in the ’first half, but after the interval South Wales completely outplayed them. Flying Officer E. Grant was the New Zealaners’ most prominent back, although . Pilot Officer J. L. Grayburn often opened up attacks and Flying Officer- J. H. Macdonald rarely made mistakes at full back.
