CYCLIST STRIKES TRAILER
While riding a bicycle yesterday Joy Blakely, aged 11 years, of Balfour, struck a trailer. She suffered scalp wounds and abrasions and was admitted to the Gore hospital.
CHIMNEY FIRE.— The City Fire Brigade received a call at 3.44 p.m. yesterday to a chimney fire at 99 Janet street. The fire was extinguished with a bucket pump. There was no damage.
