Fair to Fine and Mild
(Special) WELLINGTON, October 25. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m.' tomorrow: — An extensive anti-cyclone covers the Dominion. Moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly winds. Weather fair to fine and mild.
The sun shone brightly at Invercargill throughout yesterday. The day was warm, but a cool south-westerly wind prevailed. At one o’clock this morning the weather was cool, calm and overcast. The barometer reading was 3020 in. (falling). The Tides.— High water, Invercargill, 10.11 a.m., 10.37 p.m.; Bluff, 9.30 a.m., 9.56 p.m.; Riverton, 8.30 a.m., 8.56 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 8.39 a.m., 9.05 p.m. The Sun.— Rises, 5.33 a.m.; sets, 7.30 p.m.
