REVIEW OF LABOUR POLICY
Mr Connolly’s Addresses
A review of the policy of the Labour Government since 1935 and a comprehensive explanation of its postwar programme of' rehabilitation and reconstruction was given by Mr P. G. Connolly, M.P., speaking in support of the Labour candidate, Mr L. S. O’Sullivan, at a well attended and enthusiastic meeting at Greenhills last night. At the end of his address Mr Connolly answered several questions. Mr Brennan was chairman. A vote of thanks to Mr Connolly and a vote of confidence in Mr O’Sullivan and the Labour Government, moved by Mr Wylie and seconded by Mr McDonald, was carried unanimously. Mr Connolly also addressed a well attended meeting at Woodend last night. On the motion of Mr H. Wilson, seconded by Mr A. Stevens, Mr Connolly was thanked for his interesting and illuminating address. A motion of confidence in Mr O’Sullivan as the Labour candidate for the electorate, moved by Mr W. Jordan and seconded by Mr A. Cribb, was carried unanimously.
