OBITUARY
Sir Leo Chiozza Money
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 29. The death has occurred of Sir Leo Chiozza Money.
Sir Leo Chiozza Money was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping from 1916 to 1918, when he proposed the successful Atlantic concentration of shipping convoys against the submarines. He was also chairman of the Tonnage Priority Committee from 1917 to 1918, chairman of the National Maritime Board from 1917 to 1918, ex-officio member of the Shipping Control Committee from 1916 to 1918 and a member of the Royal Commission on the Coal Industry in 1919. An author and journalist, he published several books and was editor of the economic, financial, engineering and sociological sections of the Encyclopaedia Britannica in 1929.
