Mr W. A. Christie To Contest A Seat
Mr W. A. Christie, of Tuturau, a farmer well known in the district, will contest the Mataura Riding seat on the Southland County Council with Mr F. Trapski, the present member. Actively associated with the Farmers’ Union, Mr Christie is chairman of the Mataura Primary Production Committee and is the Mataura Fanners Union nominee on the Rehabilitation Committee. He is a past president and secretary of the union. Mr Christie served with the Ist Expeditionary Force and is a past president of the Mataura branch of the Returned Services Association.
