PAIRS TOURNAMENT COMPLETED The Southland Bowling Centres Easter pairs tournament was completed at the Southland green yesterday in fine weather. Playing in the finals A. McCallum and R. G. Morrison (Waihopai) beat Lumsden and Cubitt (Southland). A fours competition was held on the Te Rangi green. PAIRS TOURNAMENT AT GORE A pairs tournament was conducted on the Gore Club’s green yesterday. • Although the surface was in a heavy condition when play began in the morning, after heavy rain and an overnight frost, it improved as a result of the sunny weather during the day.
