LOCUSTS.— The Sudan, East Africa, Arabia, the North of India and Asia have just defeated the worst invasion of locusts since 1929, says a message from Khartoum. The swarming cycle began in 1941 and reached its peak in 1943, when an area of 2,000,000 square miles in Sudan and East Africa alone was affected. Russian experts joined in the fight against the. locusts in India. (Rugby.)
