Occasional Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, April 10. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m. tomorrow:— Fresh to strong north-westerly winds turning io westerly or southwesterly. The weather cloudy with occasional rain spreading from the west; temperatures becoming cooler. Bright sunshine was enjoyed in Invercargill yesterday. The temperature was moderate and a light south-east-erly wind prevailed throughout the day. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool and cloudy with a light southeasterly wind. The barometer reading was 29.94 in. (falling). THE TIDES.— High water, Invercargill, 4.28 a.m.; 4.50 p.m.; Bluff, 3.47 a.m.; 4.09 p.m.; Riverton, 2.47 a.m.; 3.09 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 2.56 a.m.; 3.18 p.m. THE SUN.—Rises, 7.17 a.m.; sets, 6.18 p.m.
