INVERCARGILL CROQUET CLUB . <7 The Invercargill Croquet Club held its official closing last week. There was a good attendance of members and friends. Mrs H. H. Petrie, the president, presented the prizes to the winners of the competitions played during the afternoon. The competitions resulted: Comer ball, Mrs Begley (Rugby Park); split shot, Mrs Stevens (Waihopai); hit the peg, Miss Anderson (Northend); golf croquet, Mrs Holmes (Southend); French croquet, Mrs Jennings (Invercargill). TUATAPERE TENNIS TOURNAMENT The Waiau Tennis Association’s mixed doubles, women’s doubles and men’s doubles handicap tournament was completed at Tuatapere on Saturday.
