MOTOR PATROL BOATS

Building In Australia (Rec. 9.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 28. Naval motor patrol boats used extensively for anti-submarine work are being built in Australia. The Minister of the Navy, Mr N. J. O. Makin, says these speedy craft, which are very manoeuvrable and seaworthy, are being built of Australian timbers by Australian workmen. Each boat-carries a crew of 14 men with two officers. One hundred similar craft are on duty around the coasts of Great Britain.
