U.S. SUBMARINE LOST WHILE TRAINING
(Rec. 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 26. The Navy Department announced the loss of the submarine Rl2 while training on the east coast recently, probably as the result of an accident. Of the complement of 28 some were saved. The submarine was one of the Navy’s oldest and smallest. It was commissioned in 1919 and had a displacement of 530 tons.
