Cold and Changeable (Special) WELLINGTON, June 27. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong south-westerly to southerly winds. Weather cold and changeable with showers of rain or hail and snow down to the lower levels, but conditions slowly improving. The weather in Invercargill during the week-end was cold and stormy. A strong south-westerly wind prevailed. There was a heavy fall of hail early on Sunday morning. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cold; calm and overcast. The barometer reading was 29.74 in.
