THE WEATHER
Changeable with Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh north-westerly to westerly winds. The weather changeable with a period of fairly general rain, but soon improving inland; temperatures moderate. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was mainly dull, but there was a welcome rise in the temperature, which was more in accordance with what is to be expected at this time of the year. THE TIDES.—High water, Invercargill. 5.49 a.m., 6.11 p.m.; Bluff, 5.08 a.m., 5.30 p.m.; Riverton, 4.08 a.m., 4.30 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 4.17 a.m.. 4:39 p.m. THE SUN.—Rises, 6.23 a.m.; sets, 6.53 p.m.
