OBITUARY
MR GEORGE DENNES (P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 28. The death has occurred of Mr George Pennes, aged 52, who had bein a yachtsman all his life. He won the C class keeler championship of the Royal New Zealand Squadron in 1914, also many championship flags, Including one in Sydney in 1938. He was chairman of the Auckland anniversary regattas in 1939 and 1941 and a past master of the United Services Masonic Lodge. He leaves a wife and a son, Lieutenant-Colonel Dennes, of Wellington.
