The winners of the original short story competition held annually by the Literary Circle of the Otago Women’s Club are: First equal, Mrs J. Sutherland Ross and Mrs Porteous; second, Mrs F. G. Soper. The judge was Miss Winifred McQuilkan, and the prize is presented by Lady Ferguson. The Music Circle of the Southland Women’s Club meets tomorrow (Tuesday) night when Gilbert and Sullivan music will be presented. 3722
