Unsettled with Kain (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly winds. Weather unsettled with rain at times. Cool temperatures. Further outlook: Cool and showery. The weather in Invercargill on Saturday was cold and unpleasant, but it improved noticeably on Sunday, although steady rain fell during the afternoon. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was mild, calm and heavily overcast. The barometer reading was 30.30 in (rising).
