MATRICULATION STUDENTS AND MILITARY SERVICE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, September 25. So that matriculation students who are called for military service may have an opportunity to sit the examinations, appeal boards have been recommended to grant postponement of mobilization, the Minister of National Service, the Hon. W. J. Broadfoot, announced tonight. Notice of appeal on the grounds of undue hardship must be lodged by a student and the appeal must be supported by a certificate from the principal of a college to the effect that the student is full-time studying for matriculation and has reasonable prospects of success.
