MACARTHUR DAY IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 8. A proposal that next Saturday should be observed in Australia as MacArthur Day, in the same way as in America, has been widely supported. The Minister of Information, Mr W. P. Ashley, said it would be appropriate if Australia could celebrate MacArthur Day to express some recognition of General MacArthur’s great services.
