The letter stated that the concert was being held to raise funds for the patriotic effort and would be used to assist in paying for jerseys and football equipment supplied to Army and National Military Reserve teams. The letter asked that the matter he brought before the various football clubs, and it was decided to circularize the club asking that they give their support. The Pirates fourth grade team and the Bluff fifth grade teams were each awarded full points for defaults by High School teams on May 9 and May 23. D. McC.
