MACARTHUR DAY
(Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 6. The House of Representatives has completed legislative action designating June 13 MacArthur Day in honour of General MacArthur and his men. June 13 is the 43rd anniversary of General MacArthur’s appointment to West Point. At the same time Mr Martin proposed in the House of Representatives that special bronze medals be. awarded all men and nurses participating in the defence of Batan and Corre-. gidor.
