SONG BY INVERCARGILL ' COMPOSER A song composed by Mr Kennedy Black, Invercargill, Will be sung by Mr Peter Dawson at his concert in Christchurch tomorrow night. The concert will be broadcast by station 3YA. The song is called “New Zealand” and the words were written by F. Weatherly, a boy in one of Mr Kennedy Black’s choirs. Mr Kennedy Black met Mr Dawson in Dunedin on Monday. Mr Dawson accepted the song for his Christchurch concert and wrote on a copy: “This should be adopted nationally.” Mr Kennedy Black has assigned the copyright of the song to the Patriotic Fund, and has stipulated that “all profits from the sale of the song are to go to the Patriotic Fund in perpetuity.”
