LABOUR TRIBUTE TO MR CHURCHILL
LONDON, May 28. The Labour Conference closed with a striking tribute to Mr Churchill. The chairman said: “We assure Mr Churchill that we stand behind him as a movement to a man in his determination to prosecute the war to the end. Mr Churchill has our profound sympathy in the almost overwhelming burden he is bearing at present and if he calls on us as a people for further sacrifices towards winning the war we will follow. Never has the Prime Minister had a more loyal party to follow him in the war effort than has Mr Churchill in the Labour Party.”
