FIVE PLANES IN FOUR DAYS
(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 28. The citation dealing with the exploits of Sergeant-Pilot R. B. Hesselyn, who has been awarded a bar to his Distinguished Flying Cross and promoted to the rank of pilot officer, states: During a period of four days in May 1942, he destroyed five enemy aircraft, making a total of 10 victories. Although facing great odds during the heavy raids on Malta, he never hesitated in his efforts to destroy the enemy. His courage and devotion to duty were outstanding.
