ATTENDANCES AT MUSEUM
Since the opening of the Southland Centennial Memorial Museum on May 10, about 100 persons a day have taken the opportunity of viewing the exhibits displayed. During the school holidays large numbers of school children visited the museum and on one day during that period the second attendance of more than 200 persons was recorded. The largest number of persons in the museum at one time has been about 90. In spite of a close watch, damage has already been done by children visiting the museum. One of the railings on the stairway has been damaged and several of the exhibits have been handled. The authorities request that parents should accompany children under 14 when they visit the museum.
