Watson, Crinan street, MUSIC OF~THE ALLIES The chairman of the Music Circle of the Southland Women’s Club, Mrs E. K. Mills, welcomed the members and their guests at the open evening of the circle held last night, when a varied and entertaining programme. “Music of the Allies,” was presented. Thomson; recitation, “Cremation of Sam McGee,” Mrs H. C. Mathew: pianoforte solo, Paderewskis Minuet and Rachmaninoff's Prelude, Miss R. Wesney; song, "Red Sarafan,” Miss D. Thomson; song. “The Harvest of Sorrow (Rubenstein), Miss J. Gasparich; song, I Love Thee” (Greig), Mrs F. M. Woods; recitation, “The Grumbler,” Miss N. Pritchard; song, “The Guest,” Mrs P. Frampton; song. “Lir Liza Jane,” Mrs J. G. Gasparich; song, "The Moon Dropped Low” (Cadman), Mrs B. W. Hewat; recitation, “Ginger Mick, Miss N. Pritchard; song. “Waiata Poi.” Mrs P. Frampton.
